A few years ago we had a guy come show us his 72 hour kit and explain his choices behind it in my last ward. He figured out what weight was realistic for each child to actually carry and adjusted their choices for the packs accordingly. Another amazing thing he did was make his own Pepsi Stove Tops!!! Really inexpensive and very light weight. I really liked the idea!
